Build has officially started after a long hiatus and a change in venue. Pictures are out of my hands but I will post them if and when i get them.

5/10/11: Delivered car to Auto Service Center.

5/12/11: Short block being assembled. Piston to Valve clearence checks out and replacing the .065 Cometic gasket with a .085 gasket to keep the compression ratio just below 9:1. That should be in the safe zone since I'm not running a stand alone mgmt system just yet.

5/13/11: Custom stainless steel downpipe being made and ordered a 3" stainless steel mandrel bent cat back exhaust from FWDP. These are not listed on her website and she has a couple left if anyone is interested.

I had hopes that you were building it. Oh well, better that it is done right than over and over, like mine....lol.

Shifter is in. Will be either painted black or covered but the 3" rise should bring the shifter up to a comfortable level.

Intercooler is mocked up. I/C piping and cold air intake pipes ordered.

Headlight will be removed and cold air intake setup will be installed.

That looks like my center console, minus the gauges......and the flat metal sheet, and with the stock drawer. LOL

I was actually born with arms 6" shorter than normal so thanks for making fun of me....gotcha. The higher the better for road racing, its a shorter reach from the steering wheel. I'm gonna leave the shifter assembly exposed and cover the riser.

    Hilarious...

Juggy, gotcha was the only word in that sentence that was true. I assumed you would get the sarcasm, sorry bro.

For the record my arms are regular length.

Nice dash; yeah, they tell me I'm supposed to pull the seat up so my chest is close to the wheel; can't get used to it.
    John Laing

"The sole condition which is required in order to succeed in centralizing the supreme power in a democratic community, is to love equality, or to get men to believe you love it. Thus the science of despotism, which was once so complex is simplified, and reduced . . . . to a single principle."
    -- Alexis de Tocqueville

"One of the methods used by statists to destroy capitalism consists in establishing controls that tie a given industry hand and foot, making it unable to solve its problems, then declaring that freedom has failed and stronger controls are necessary."
    --Ayn Rand

"To evolve, you don't need a Constitution. All you need is a legislature and a ballot box . . . . things will evolve as much as you want. All of these changes can come about democratically; you don't need a Constitution to do that and it's not the function of a Constitution to do that."
    -- Justice Antonin Scalia

I hear you, it's ackward. My local track has so many turns, by the 4th or 5th lap, my arms are worn out...then I pull my seat up for more leverage.
