    Will this engine combo work?

I am building a budjet engine for a project. These are the parts i plan on using. Tell me if there is anything that is eithier not compatible. Or why another stock factory part would hold up better. I am tryin to make around 300whp with the combo. Any thoughts or criticism are welcome.

92 2.5 tbi block (already drilled for turbo lines)
    2.2 t3 forged pistons
    87 turbo 2 forged crank
    89 2.5 rods (i believe are same as t2)

I dont know what the correct configuration is to get around it. (But I know its been done by many)
The 87 crankshaft uses a larger front seal than the common block engine/crankshafts.

    Rods are the same. T2 = 87-89 T2, 89-92 2.5 T1, 89-90 vnt/T-IV, 91-93 T3 (T3 used better bolts from the factory iirc)

i would go with a 2.2 cast common block crank, its lighter and it will fit in the block you have without modification, for your power goals it should be fine.

I came up with this, so its a good ball park-

Gaboon said he's done it, older crank in a CB-

Drilled and tapped the holes in the block and voila!

    Worked just fine.
Another guy put a CB crank in an older block but he took all the pictures down, so never mind.
