Process for getting a socketed cal?

My car is pretty darn radical and I would def go as far as to say there is not another out there exactly like it. What would be the process I have to go through to get one done? Can I send in any LM or does it have to be a known working one? Also can I tune the car with the cal and send it back with the results for a better tune?
    thanks
    -Kaleb

if you want to get into tuning a go even more darn radical, why not go with a stand alone engine management system like megasquirt or the like? That being said, I currently have a TU socketed cal I would like re-cal'ed for changes i have done. My eventual plans are to go to a tunable system though.....

LM? I can socket it if you want, or if you know how to solder/desolder, its not too bad to replace since the LMs don't use a potting material.

    Hi Kaleb,

well the best way would have been for me to stop by when I was out in Iowa a few weeks ago! Doh!

Anyway, short of getting a dyno day organized in your area, yes I will do a back and forth with you if you have a set-up I haven't tuned before. I'll have to see what you have first, but there's actually a good chance I'll have it covered.

If I don't have it covered, we'll get a base tune together that you can take to the dyno and have them put all your runs in an e-mail or disk for you to send to me and I'll adjust based on that info if needed. Just make sure they use a wideband (some charge extra) and it would be great if they have an input for measuring the boost pressure too.

As far as the LM, you can send in any one, but I test them before and after socketing. If you send one that's dead you'll have to get another.
