87 Daytona Shelby Z 5 SPEED TRANNY NOISE

I just pickip a 87 daytona shelby for 1300.00 with only 930000 on it. Run great but when running it sounds like there is something rolling around in the tranny, but when I press in the cluch it goes away?? it shifts ok?? Maybe a throw out bearing?? I didn't check the tranny oil yet... Any ideas??

My Daytona does the same thing when idling. If I press in the clutch it goes away and if I release it kind of slowly the noise is gone. My throwout bearing is newer so I'm pretty sure its a bearing inside it.

Mine does the same when its not in gear (mine is a 523). Although my TOB is newer, I still think its causing the noise.

Its either the input shaft bearing or its the normal rattling noise caused by the gears jiggling around,

Well.... I checked the oil today and it was low like 2 qts..... So i filled it and sounds alot better... Still has a little rattling but that seems normal...

Consider the transmission only holds 2.5 qt...

Better look for another transmission for backup...
