ive never run more than 22psi at the track, they dyno would peak to 28ish psi then fall off to 23psi! (you can hear the sound change in the videos) i imagine thats the exhaust piling up on itself in the manifold before the turbo? I will also be getting a 6pt cage welded in this winter. Thats gonna add about 70lbs to the car. I started running on the tread mil last week. I hope to loose about 30 lbs so that will offset the cage a bit. thinking about pulling the heater box out and gutting it besides the heater core. might be able to get about 15lbs there? I WILL NOT remove the interior so ill have to come up with other ways of lightening the car without removing anything that is useful/functional.
I suppose you could drill some holes and ziptie the mode doors so it blows out the defrost and take off the vacuum controls. With the mode doors 'fixed' the vacuum controls on the dash could be taken out of the controller so you would only have the temp blend and fan speed. There isn't much of anything in the HVAC system to take out without simply removing it all. Maybe cut up the box and epoxy on some flat plastic to reduce the size and bulk(ie passages to blow out the vents & floor)? I'm just throwing out ideas there.
Where's the dyno sheet? Impatient minds are impatient

sorry, the all the exhaust is coming off from the head back and going onto my van. I suppose i could put a port in it then, but wont be the same setup so it wouldnt give us any good readings anyway.

Yeah it flattened out your power curve a bit. Not having as big of a torque spike at 3500 probably helps your traction, and it's making 40ish more tq at 5k. Hp steadily increases too instead of peaking early.
when i grab the old chart from work ill let you know the exact increases. but it was significant. I know if the turbo was properly sized the HP and torque would just keep increasing til red line.
There's hardly anything to come out of the box as others have stated. I'm all about weight savings and I don't think that I would bother personally. I bet you would come close to the same weight savings by relaying the headlights and fog lights to eliminate some wires.
Interesting that it spooled up pretty much the same on both setups.
about 500 rpm different. sounds about right for down low. im sure the cam played a large part in that.
