    Re: ForcedFedMopar's 85 GLH-T

so this weekend i built the 4in from the turbo back exhaust

new intercooler plumbing with HKS flange

Also modified the compressor housing with a new flange for the wastegate actuator. Also started on polishing the housing. which i didnt take any pictures of! doh. Im ordering harness, oil line and fittings and roll bar padding when im done on here. I hope to have the header plained tomorrow, and back in the car permenantly. I also hope to get then intercooler piping finished up tomorrow evening.

Why wouldn't it be? O2 doesn't care if you are stock or not.

The stock O2 should be ok. If it was a WB, then I agree it is too close.

no everything fits in a stock bay. I did oval the pipe for extra clearance tho.

The stock ox sensor is fine there, OE's want it close.

Yeah narrowband needs to be close to the merge point as possible, wideband should be downstream 18-24" IIRC?

So they say. However many of us have run WB sensors in the SV housing with no issues. 5 Digits said that it's the way to go in a thread a while back. That's good enough for me.

Almost ever turbo vehicle ive worked on has had the stock o2 on or right after the hot side. I work on a alot of turbo cars (european) so i see if frequently. If its good for them its good for me.

Back to the task at hand. The flange got plained yesterday, test fitted everything on the stand and installed new studs in the head and then the header!!! Its in!! hope to have the exhaust side done tomorrow night from the turbo back.

What is? Running the ox sensor or wideband sensor that close? Wideband that close is a death sentence for it.

    i hope i didnt start a ---- storm :-(

it looks like hes running his narrow band at the start of the downpipe and his wideband mid way down which in my book is fine. i just wanted to make sure the wideband was in fact downstream because it is essencial to the survival of this motor!

I really like the brace for the turbo right there. Have you thought about using the other starter bolt to make a triangle and sure it up even more?

I made that out of 1/8th steel, its plenty sturdy so i never thought about tringulating it. The turbo is in and down pipe bolted on. I have to move the fron o2 sensor about 1 sensor width to the passenger side so my heater hoses have better access/clearance. No big deal tho. Everything else looks and fits extremely well. Im hoping to get my oil feed fitting today and start it up!
