You may want to run some torco or turn down the boost

I would call your machine shop guy and ask his opinion on the spark plug hole. I've done a re-thread kit in the car before on a kid's Honda, but as long as you have the head off the car, it might be better done by a pro.

the plan is to take it to the machine shop and let them do it. even at 50 ill feel better having a pro do it.

I believe he's just saying you may need more octane to run the boost your running?

i understood. I was making a joke. I may go ahead and put a meth/alch kit on. I did have a mix of 110/ 100/ and 91 in the tank at the time . The cause for all of this isnt octane tho. I found that my distributor cap screws had worked loose. I imagine that cause the misfire which caused the rest. when i pulled the cap off for inspection i found that #1 wire was even backed out a little bit. So it was a pile of problems. live and learn, at least the damage isnt too bad.

I'd imagine being the monster that little car is turning into, you will run across things working themselves loose from time to time. Glad it turned out to be fairly minor.

wow, about 6 months dead! i pulled the drivetrain. Plans are to go through the front suspension and add manual brakes and steering. The engine was hurt (low on compression) and the trans is having a hard time going into third. So, im going to go through the trans and hopefully resolve that issue. Also the engine is apart and on the stand. Pistons look good. I think im going to start with a fresh block and have it bored to fit my current pistons so i can get the PTW back in check rather than buying new pistons. Im currently working on a windage set up.

At least one of them is I know. I think the other is just a bare block. Either way, does it matter?

I dropped the block, and head off at the machine shop yesterday. The valve guides are SHOT. that explains my low compression and smoke. Now, they will hone the block, fix the head up and i will be back on my way!

    Re: ForcedFedMopar's 85 GLH-T

So, been awhile! I got the block back from the machine shop! Started filing rings and installing pistons last night! Set top to .019, bottome to .021 and oil at .019. I will pick up the head from the machine shop friday! Should be all back together this weekend!
