So, this weekend, I finished up the trans, the obx install was a bit more "involved" than I initially thought. I made my own 3/16 dif cover instead of beating out the stamped steel one. rods and pistons are together. rings are gapped 22/24/16. I would have had the engine together but my new valves were incorrectly machined from the factory. so now im waiting on replacements

So, my quarterly update, Car is working well, making ok power. New personal best of 7.3000 at 98.xxmph. Won local no prep race Saturday.
That's awesome! How exactly does the no prep race work. Are there different classes? Like fwd or rwd? Or are there just different indexes? What kind of boost were you running on those passes?

This one was set up in different classes. FWD was it's own class. The RWD guys had plenty more classes to choose from.

Exactly, Just run with mostly high powered Hondas. Its basically an SFWD class. But its heads up, first to the end wins, instant green. Im pretty good on the light and being an auto car now gives me a large advantage. all the other cars are having to be on the 2 step for some time, but I just go!
7.21 at 100.3 mph new best.

Had another race Saturday and made it to the semis where I went red. Car ran 2 more personal bests including my first 6 sec pass which I didn't get a slip for due to the red light. ugh. car is working good. Id really like to upgrade the turbo over winter time now.
Bummer on not getting a slip for your first 6sec pass😔 But congrats on the new PS. Making some steam to go 6's !
