    yes they would!

I went to the local car cruise last night. I had a few runs that are not worth mentioning. My last run of the night was against a supposed 400+ rwhp 2011 5.0 mustang. We went from a roll (me on street tires and 22 psi). I beat him pretty good. Not sure on cars (maybe 3+) as i had to steer. The car gets pretty squirrly on street tires. I am happy to have beat him tho. (he ran with a cobra that ran 11.7 and kept with him)! it was also my first time taking the car for a long drive on the interstate. Went about 30-40 miles with several 3-4th gear pulls without issue!

These things are pretty damn accurate from what I understand. I typed in 2550 for vehicle weight and your mph and came up with about 370 hp. No wonder your pulling on modded Stangs.

I would think his race weight would be closer to 2650lbs...

i imagine race weight is around 2670. With the added weight this last winter. Which still puts the car close to 350whp. Im happy with it. One day ill get her back on the dyno and we can find out for sure.!

Well, you put together a very smart build after already having your ducks in a row on your last build, so don't be surprised that it's making some good power! lol

Sides, this is a drop in the bucket, just wait till you add some boost, you'll be trapping 130+mph in no time!

    Re: ForcedFedMopar's 85 GLH-T

went to teh track friday and had a good time. Ran a best of 7.60 at 94.xx. On the last run of the night it misfired in 3rd gear and blew all the van hoses off the intake. (about 26psi). I went to pull the plugs at the track and #1 was solid. I got it home fri night and soaked the plug with penetrant all night, moved it back and fourth saturday and soaked it all day. Finally sat night i got it out with about an hour of moving back and fourth. Threads are screwed and porcelin was broken on the plug. Ill be pulling the head this week to inspect for damage.....ugh

no havent changed anything. plugs have been in there since it was put away last year. I havent had a reason to check them this year. It was hotter than hell out, maybe the heat lead to detonation. So now I need to pull it apart and find out. Any recommendations to spark plug thread repair?

Jon just used a Heilcoil at my place the other day. I'm assuming that it's held up well.

i was afraid that was the only option. I dont like the idea of it but if that the only way then thats what itl get. Im going to pull the head and possible port it further. Ill then take it to the machine shop and let them professionally fix it. Then be on my merry way. Unless there is bottom end carnage.

Oh man, that sucks. I didn't realize the pic was from the blue car. I was hoping it was from taking apart Ben's car, finding it's been sitting so long for an afternoon of work.

Well hell, it survived 27+psi or so multiple times on 91 octane. And who knows how much abuse along the way... I'll give it a pass, it's just a gasket and spark plug.
