Turbo placement looks awesome! You might consider running the other style starter which would put your wires on the bottom and give a little more clearance on top.

    Re: ForcedFedMopar's 85 GLH-T

well. I built another header. Moved the collector and primarys away from the starter towards the intake. Im really happy with this one. I will finish weld it this week and get the secondary made this weekend. Hopefully have the car back up and running next week!

Curious. Do you think the +40s and FWD stage 5 comp will work well with the air flow this turbo is going to produce?

Should be good to 380-400WHP, you can adjust your cal for whatever fuel you need in that range, but you may only be able to run 22-25psi boost before having to go to 72's.

Your work will be well worth the effort, I finnally took my car up to 10# of boost in 3rd gear and it pulled like a freight train. Start thinking about opening up that intake and a 65mm throttle body is not too big.

    Why are you wrapping it?

I really like what you're doing with this and I can't wait to see how it turns out for you. Have you been putting it in the oven or anything along the way?

    Re: ForcedFedMopar's 85 GLH-T

im wrapping it to help underhood temps. Ive used wrap before and have been very sucessful with it. We used it on a turbo LSx car and when he gets back to the pits after making a 10sec pass you can put your hand on the turbo and piping! I hope this will be similar. Hopefully between the wrap and the heat shields it will help with the heat soak of the intake also. I have NOT been putting it in an oven. Its been bolted to the head while i did all the welding thogh and i let it cool before unbolting it. I can tell its warped about 2mm still. Nothing planing wont take care of tho. the flange is 1/2 thick so i have plenty to work with.

Thanks for the info. As I said, I can't wait to see how it turns out when you get going. I'm willing to bet you'll see great gains from it.

Looks good. How much room do you have for the exhaust between the turbine outlet and firewall?

there is about 4.75 inches between the turbo and the wall. about 2in from the "corner" of the booster. Everything will clear fine. I will most likely go with just a 3-3.5in down pipe and then 4in the rest of the way back. the i/c piping will remain 2.5
