Rear Wiper Question.

Does anyone know if the motor assy. for the rear wiper on an 86 GTS is interchangeable with anything else? (K-car wagons, HorOmni's, Minivan's?)

Anything would be nice since I can get van and HorOmni motors for $5. but the one yard that has a Lancer rear wiper wants 48.00

Can you just look at the two motors to see? I know that most all of the wiper motors for the windshield are compatible bolt pattern wise. The plugs changed over the years though.

Yes, but before I go to the trouble of pulling mine out (and leaving a hole during rainy times) I wanted to know what I'm looking for so I can get the motor now and change it down the road.

Just hoping at least.

The assembly appears to be H body specific, but parts of it might be the same as a Daytona or K based wagon etc. I have a Daytona hatch that I could probably snap a picture of the motor for you if you know what yours looks like. You could also post in the parts wanted section, as I'm sure someone has one.

Thanks, that's good to know. What I may do when the weather breaks a bit is to pull it and go to the junk yard with mine in hand and see what I may be able to pull.
