I don't need any more cars, yet good stuff keeps falling in my lap. So this guy I know has an 89 GTC convertable, 2.5 turbo and auto, it's flash red and in really really good shape, super clean, and think he has stumbled onto money problems and is offering me the car cheap. I really don't need it, but can't decide what to do....hate to see it go to someone who won't care for it.

Wow you are in the LA area.
89 GTC will have the shelby suspension and the 11 inch brakes.
If its cheap enuff it would be worth it!

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!!! Why didn't that come up 3 months ago! I REALLY want one of those (although stick is my pref.) but I just bought my 86 Town/Country (got that from Phoenix even) and a 2nd 85 600ES Conv. (and glad I did)... SIGH! I always wanted that car (89 2.5T) since it's the dash that I fit in (6'9" tall here) and the turbo's and GTC's really seem to be quite loaded.
Any pix for us (ok, me) to drool over???

Sounds like a nice car, You can't sell your wife on the convertible idea, I think that is the only way I could get another TM, if it was a vert

Commit to gettting a new couch. If you're going to spend some quality time on it, you might as well be comforable. Some thing plush with recliners.

Here are some pics. This car was auctioned off at a local car show for charity last summer, so I made friends with the guy who won it. He needs to sell it now, and only wanted to recover the little bit of $ he spent on tires and a few repairs on the car, so I couldn't resist. I took these pics last august, and the car is really sharp.

Happened to me last year, The 600ES I wanted finally became for sale, I had found it and a friend bought it so I had 1st dibbs. Then despite not needing another TM, the Cargo came up for sale so I had to buy it.

Picking up the car Sunday, suprisingly things went well with the announcment of buying the car, I also have to buy an iPhone as well, so guess we both are getting something out of this.

Just got the car home, will take some pics shortly. Can't believe I got a hold of this, so clean. It has to be original paint....and it's super straight. The interior is so mint, leather is so soft, clean and pliable, no cracks or tears, and it is as clean as the day it was made. I do want to run the bissel machine on the rug though.

Car runs pretty well, has newer shocks and struts (kyb's), new goodyear tires but is in need of a hall effect pickup, and 02 sensor. It is overboosting as well (can peg the boost gauge on a stock 2.5 T-1), and did set a code for it, so need to take and check into that as well.
