does mptune work for you? i would like you to post up the mptune "mpt2coms.txt" file. it has a little more com port info in it that might be helpful.

    Re: MPScan

Is there a list somewhere of each ram location with a better description of what they are? the short names listed in MPSCAN don't help a noob like me.

    Thanks.

i think that is a good idea. Rob L will need to probably do this. if he does i'll set mpscan up so it can display the ram location description.

fwiw - the last update to mpscan included a file that can be displayed that shows the ram locations and a "long" description. for right now, none of the long descriptions have been set up. either you can do it yourself or wait until rob L has an opportunity to update the file.

Can you send me the latest files you're using? I have a couple of business trips coming up. That's a good project for the hotel...

    Re: MPScan

    Yay for long descriptions, lol

Btw, I'd assume I have a bad SMEC, but I figured I'd check with you guys to be sure.

MPScan works great on my 89 LeBaron, but my brother's 88, it says something to the effect of "No valid ports, try turning the key off and back on"
Obviously I tried turning the key off and on a few times. Swapped both of my spare SMECs into the car and MPScan reads them just fine.

    Thoughts?

    Re: MPScan

Hi wanted to introduce myself here, name is Nick. So I purchased everything i need from Boosted button to be able to log everything my car is doing and considering the build that Shadow is putting together for me. i'd really like to be able to log everything properly.

This is what I have so far and I am trying to find the knock sensor so that I can add it to a digital gauge and I cant seem to figure out how to increase the psi from 15 to 30 psi. I'd appreciate some help.

    Re: MPScan

if you have a 3 bar map you should select the "map3bar" gauge. the knock volts is gauge "knkv".

you need to update the layout reference files. go to settings / layout files / update settings, check all five boxes, click on the download button. now it should show up.

also has the gauge settings that allows you to use the wideband o2 sensor as your narrowband sensor and log it.

On TD, Shel posted "The '88 T1 is not supported yet. Some of them may also work using the 'T2' setting. But, they won't work as a 'T1'"

Could this be the issue with my brother's 88 LeBaron?
