New wheels for my Spirit R/T

So I sold my BBS 18's I ran last year because they rubbed the fender. That left me with only snow tires for my DD Spirit R/T. Checked the local classifids yesterday and found these. Tell me what you guys think.

You have two red Spirit R/Ts Kelly?

Is that the one Cliff missed out on by any chance?

Oh, if you need any R/T parts, let me know. I have 2 I am going to be parting, unfortunately. You could drive up here and pick what you want.

No Cliff wasn't involved with either of these.

Steve, I have plenty of parts, thanks.

The one in the back is either going to be parted or sold as a project.

I dig the R/T Kelly! I would love to have one for an everyday car but the TIII makes me weary. I think the wheels look good. I tell you what I really liked was an R/T I saw with those killer mesh wheels that could be found on Lebaron GTC's (I think?).

Anyway...I'm not sure about 5 spoke wheels on an R/T but it looks preety good IMO

Re: New wheels for my Spirit R/T

Thanks Andy, it makes me a little weary also but I have had pretty good luck with this one. If you look at my other threads about wheels for this car it is that I am not a fan of 5 spoke wheels on them either. This is the 4th summer I have had this car and the 4th set of summer shoes I have had on it. I think the wide spokes do the car well.

Oh by the way they are off a VW.

How wide are they? Bigger than our stock 6" rims perhaps?

They are a 17x7. I'd prefer a 7.5 with the 225 tires but they look ok. The tires are literally brand new. I measured 9-9.5/32nds on all of them. The price was about that of a comparable set of tires so I brought them home.

I think they look good. Some custom Mopar M centercaps should finish the set up nicely.

I don't mind them Kelly, I think they look decent. The BBS's were probably my favorite, to bad they rubbed.

What's up with the project Spirit, shoot me over some details if you sell it.

The caps are 52 mm with a spring clip which is pretty common. I'd like to find something to put on them.

They were my favorite also. I was able to make a few bucks on them so it's all good. I'll send you an email.

Looks good. Might look a little more sinister if they were painted a light charcoal gray.

I agree, but the deal on these was too good. I am still kicking myself for selling the 17's that came withthis car. They were el cheapo anthricite ADR 7 spokes and had 205 40 tires on them. Rode very harsh and I sold them when I should have just put a set of tires on them.

That's awesome! You know, I thought a 7" wide rim would be more than enough for a 225 as you prefer a 7-1/2"?
