i am buying an 89 shelby daytona tomorow and the trans is stuck in
2nd.anyone have any suggestions? cable problem? internal trans problem? the guy i am getting it from is a friend and he never beat on this car.it is beautiful..wait till you see pics..lol..i am just trying to get an idea of whats up before i get it home.hopefully it is a cable problem and not internal...
New transmission time.
yea,it is actually really messed up.i went to pick the car up and all the trans would do is grind and we couldnt get the car to roll..winched it on my trailer and got it home.pulled the trans out,took off the shift plate on the top of the trans and i can see a broken shift fork toward the clutch side of the trans.i have another trans to put in it already,just waiting on the clutch to get here tomorow.hope to have it on the road tomorow.then it is up for sale.
