Cool sounds simple enough. And this is all because the factory installed plug tends to leak right? Like I said I haven't really done much research on it. I plan to use Mopar headgaskets too which should be OK for my mild builds.

JB Weld FTW! It's just filling the hollow in the galley plug so the head gasket can't distort and fail. $10 and 10 minutes ought to work just as well as the welding

I take the plugs out while the car is running at full operating temp. They actually come out fairly easy at 190 deg. coolant temp. Don't take them all the way out till the coolant is drained or it will be dangerous !!! The last one was steaming out the exhaust real bad from the blown head gasket while running but all three were cake even though it had mostly water and corrosion in it... I actually recommend to people I know with T-III's to at least remove the steel ones and re-seal them and put them back in as loose as possible without leaking. If it's not runnable then a torch or oven/bbq is the next best thing but don't let the seats fall out ! I welded a few too. Piece of cake but I do 3/4" pipe and use pretty red aluminum plugs... lol
