    Omni won't start pt2

You can catch up with my first thread--> http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...ght=omni+start

Now that we are moved and the weather is nice it's time to start on the Omni again. This is where I am at-

#1 it just won't start. Nothing is happening, not even a little pop.

#2 I got a fuel pressure gage and it reads 55psi when you turn the key and let the fuel pump prime. around 60-65 when you crank the motor over.

#3 I have voltage at the coil, spark from the coil and fire on all plugs. I also replaced all the plugs, new wires, new cap & rotor. The HEP is a used unit I picked up from R/T at turbopaloza so I am not 100% sure it is good.

#4 I swapped out the fuel injector harness with a better one that the original 85 omni one.

#5 I squirted some starting fluid in the TB and it didn't do squat.

#6 Today I swapped the coil from my van into it with no change.

Where should I go next? I was starting to think that it could be bad gas? This did start just after I filled the tank. And the tank is a good used unit I put in it since the original was toast. Now I did check the cam timing when this first happened and it was dead on. I can check it again if needed, but even if it was off wouldn't it fire some? Thanks for all the help and hopefully I can drive it this year.

Have you checked your compression and rotated the motor by hand? Could some teeth be stripped off of the belt somewhere and you just can't see it?

It is a complete 88 T2 motor running a 87 Daytona T2 LM. I don't think that is it because it ran for 6 months before this happened.

I can check compression tomorrow, but it was fine 2-3 month ago. I will look at the teeth to make sure, actually had that happen to my old daytona.

That doesn't matter. Most of us have seen a car that ran fine the day before and won't run today. Sure enough, the belt is toast. I have seen this on 4 or 5 different vehicles. Don't over look it.
Also, make sure the cam isn't broken. This has also happened before.

With a Xbox 360 tech session with turboaddict (aka rexer) and W.P._Turbocars (aka ramtona) I solved the no start issue! It runs and I drove it around the block like three time today. I didn't want to push my luck so I didn't push the car. So thanks for all the help guys and if you need your car to run..... just get a xbox!

Nope. LOL, just kidding. Long story short, cam timing was WAYYYYYYYYYY off. I guess the t-belt didn't have enough tension on it. Now this was the first thing I checked, but I really don't know I missed it. I had completly ruled that out until our little xbox tech session. Seriously guys Even if you don't like games it is so cool to get to talk with other turbo-mopar freaks every night while we stink it up on MW2. So go get a Xbox now! Sorry ps3 was nice but I love the xbox.
