Would it work? I am getting the full suspension from a R/T and would like to put the axle in my shad. The R/T is a 91 and my shadow is a 90.
Thanks

The parts catalog is showing both cars as having the same style of oval pivot bushing, so yes they should be 100% interchangable without having to swap and/or modify anything.
there are 2 oval bushings afaik
sweet thanks. The R/T axle is better though, Right?
One thing i noticed on some axles on later cars is that the axle 'pad' that the brakes bolt to is layed back and is not 90* straight up from the axle like on all the earlier cars. I dont know for sure if later spirits are like this or not, but look at the donor axle and check for this. If you mix them up it will change the wheelbase and cause the tires to rub.
The r/t axle has a larger internal torsion bar which serves the same purpose as a sway bar. It would also have 11" disc brakes bolted to it if they were still there.
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
