    MP 314 camshaft.

Hello folks i'm from mexico and i'm a proud owner of a Chrysler Phantom 1992 model and recently i installed a Mopar performance 314 camshaft with sliders rockers as FWD recommended but i want ot know your experiences with this 314 because i don't note very much difference and i need to know if i need to move timming the camshaft, actually the car is sincronized as a chrysler's manual, the car is 2.5 turbo with swirl head, automatic trans 413 and manifolds and head ported by myself, please i need help, i want to give more performance to my car, thanks.

First off ... If you have the original '92 head, it needs a roller cam as the cam caps probably dont have the oil squirters in them like the pre-'88 heads that came with slider cams.

Look at your cam caps to see if they have the squirters in them or not.

    EDIT:

Pic of squirters from Gary D's site:

Chrysler didnt do away with those completely...

That cam cap is from a 93 2.5 Mexico casting & built engine. and even the book lies, Both of my 2.2 engines (93, all trenton) (94, mexico cyl head, trenton block) have them also.

Its possible the head was swapped, I've seen most later model OE heads don't have the squirters so really, its hit and miss,

As for the OP's issues, unless you really have the engine manifolds and head hogged out, cam's don't do much.

What turbo? IC? Exhaust? Do you have a cal?
