I ran 245's on them at one point, they were 245/45/16 and those are smaller in diameter than the 225/50 so the tire to underside of perch will be no prob, for strut body clearance you may need to go up to a 6mm or 1/4" spacer, when i had the 245's on them i did run a 1/4" spacer, if you have the longer wheel studs its not a problem and 1/4" spacer is about the max you can go and still retain a slight bit of hub centering on the bearing.
did we ever determine if they would fit on a L body? Ramage?

Bill, sorry, I never updated this thread, but they have been sold. A guy with an 86 GLHS bought them, so with the right tire size I am sure they would fit.
I was going to say... If they hadn't sold by now I would HAVE to buy them.
