    Installed my Wideband..found a problem

Over last fall I had a problem of my car spitting and sputtering in higher Rpm's and also my cel blink at full boost. I just installed my Wideband and found the AFR is about 11.5 when the cel blink flashes, and when I reach around 5Grand the car sputters every once in a while. When this happens the AFR is around 10.5. Am I shifting to late or is this something in the program?

I can't data log the wide band because Logworks is telling me "Com1" isn't connected... I don't know what that is all about..

Logworks will do that sometimes. First off, make sure you have the serial-usb driver installed for the adapter. Then, if it fails out, just try again. If that doesn't work, reboot Logworks. Make sure the computer has mounted the serial-usb adapter before you start Logworks.

As for the 10.5, this will cause missing. You have too much fuel up top obviously. Breaking up like this will cause the knock sensor to trigger, even though you aren't pre-combusting.

Check which Com Port the serial adapter is on (By checking in the device manager). I really, seriously doubt it took Com1. Most likely Com4-5

I cannot disagree with anything you said here Berry.

I will point out though, that with the info provided, there is still the possibility that TN is octane limited and getting knock at higher RPMs from too much spark even though the cal should be safely rich.

Either way, more investigating is warranted I suppose.

From my experience, I get bad breaking up at 10.5-10.2, severe miss richer, and a little gurgle from 10.5 to 10.8 where it cleans up after that. You are right, it could still have too much timing, but he is too rich there.

    is this the 3-bar tune?

the PumpingEfficiency table needs some fuel taken out at the RPM's that are too rich.

you need to take a look at AdvanceFromMapWarmFull and take out 1 deg of timing at the boost level that you are running.

gimmie a call. i dont know if i have your current cell number.

No it isn't the 3-bar tune. The old tune we did. Anyway now the +40's are in as well as the 3 bar. I just have to get that darn FPR on. Struggling with the O-ring. It got too late the other night so I called it quits. I'll get it this weekend.

Then the fun begins... burning my own chip. Yeehaaww Looking for a 12 sec run at SDAC..lol
