The bolt pattern is different so it wont directly bolt up... have to make custom mounts, etc like I did with the A568/2.4L in the Z. ... but you can get a 3-speed suto out of a 2.4L car and its pretty much the same.
And... I like to row, so I'm a little confuzed why?

To add.....if you use an A413 you need to use the flexplate/TC/starter for that trans and vise versa for a 2.4 auto. Same goes for the MTs.

yes i went to the auto becouse i keep breaking the input shaft on the t850 and i love the boost at all times with the auto i will try and get all the info i can and post it up
the cold side of the ic has to be cut and a new cold side pipe has to be made
Neon is a 31TH and its a LU trans. Internally the same as a turbo trans with a few minor differences.
As for bolt up, the 413 will bolt up but as noted, will require some mods to work properly just like putting a 568 on a 2.4 block. I think it would be better just to use the Neon trans, true bolt on and deal with the minor tweaking of the intake, which if you use the right intake, shouldn't be an issue, just look at the SRT intake, it clears the starter.

First Thanks for your input!
What i am thinking is that i already have a A413 with the good mods done to it so the money and time to modify it is better than finding a neon tranny and beefing it up. But i have a few questions.
First no one has actually listed what is needed to make the 413 fit and why the neon trans is easier. So what are the differences?
Do they both use the same axles, or would i need to swap those too?
Are the neon trans electronically controlled?
I had to show what i picked up today the complete long block with 17k miles for $700
Bellhousing bolt pattern is different, the front dowel doesn't line up but that top and rear do. Starter is at the front, TM-rear. Axles are the same. You can just swap the guts over to the 31TH, 31TH has LU, your's doesn't so you can just add the solenoid to plug the hole and leave it unhooked.

So the guts of my a413 will swap over? How much like planetaries and all or what? So i can se the big bearing diff and RMVB out of mine?
Are they stronger than the a413?
I heard you Turbovanman are building one up can you give me the info please?
And how can i tell that it is the 31th or are all 2.4 autos the 31th?
Thanks
Its the same trans internally, simply pull yours apart, the Neon trans apart and put your guts in the Neon trans. Just remember to measure the diff preload.
I am just redoing mine with a LU, so I have to swap the input shaft, get the hole drilled for the solenoid and add that to the VB. Going to run a 2000+ Neon converter as they are built with HD internals and bearings. The stall is lower but the torque I am making should make that a no lose situation.

wouldnt really worry about swapping guts other than the one planetary and the diff if you'd like
if you want to use the big bearing diff then you need that extension housing also
all 3 speeds that bolt to a 2.0's are 31th. Most 2.4's have 4spd autos that are electronic bolted to them. The newer neons w/ 2.0s got 4spds also iirc.
So best bet is to get a 95-00 neon trans as they will all be 3spd 31th's and bolt up to the 2.4
I have some Neon cases,

How can i identify the 31th trans? is there a plaque or a number on it?
I thought I told you this in a PM?
Either way, the 31th has an electrical connector by the dipstick, the 4 speed has a big block box up front.
