I love my Comp. It looks fabulous on my shelf.
Hey, I know guys who are rolling back to "dinosaur" turbos and living with lag because even top dollar stuff is fragging. I hope my turbo holds together when it goes back on. I am tempted by billet compressor wheels and the new turbine wheels but it seems if you have something good, stick with it. I did a quick search again on the EFR 9180 and its still down on power compared to much smaller Precisions. I still have seen some of the best power from Precision turbos but I know their quality is frustrating. Even the old tech 67mm precisions seemed to put up crazy numbers in a few Beast Coast cars while still using inferior t3 turbine housings.

After considering it, I decided to stick with the 5857 and see what it can do. Mainly because of the fact that I would have to redo my exhaust system, wg set-up etc and I don't wanna spend the money right now. I'll wait until I get a header to upgrade the turbo. (hopefully)

Removed the turbo and shipped it to precision for the rebuild. Heading to Florida for a couple days and then off on a Caribbean Cruise down to Grand Turks and Bahamas. Hopefully it beats me home and I can install it as soon as I get back! Looking forward to getting some dyno numbers & track times.

I know right... Me too! First time at the track I couldn't run because of the voltage spike issue. Thought I had it fixed. Next time at the track I bent the rod due to the voltage spike and lost the bug... Car sat for 2 years.
I really wanna see the results of clean run. The car has went 12s once and then broke.
Your such a loser.

Thanks Joe! I have been feeling like this car is cursed but in all honesty, I probably contributed to most of the problems. Drivetrain wise, I'm hoping that the turbo is the last thing I need to mess with for awhile. Car was running really strong before I took it off. Gonna put it back on and head to the dyno/track. I did get some VC's thanks!!

While everyone else seems to be moving forward, I seem to be moving backwards and it's testing my patience.

My favorite part is the cash drawer sound
Bummer for sure though. Stay with it, the payoff will be worth it.

That's too bad...keep at it. Once you get past the hump of the car fighting you, you'll love it.

I think one of biggest determining factors of a successful build is the persons persistence. Keep at it!

Misery loves company, apparently. I felt the same when I had 60psi in cylinder #1 after 1 drive on my last engine.
So what did I do......built another!!! Good luck Carroll. It will finally sort out.
