Tsi, are you talking about me?
Tsi, are you talking about me?
Move the shifter side to side in neutral, the arm that moves at that time is for the cross-over cable. The cross-over cable points to the frt of the car at the trans. Has the ball socket on it. From there you can figure out the other cable. Hope this help.
um sishi really? how was i talking about u lol. u know what you said, and didnt say, and I clearly was talking about things that you had NOT said lol. yea i was talking about fitisgay, in fact hisfit was gay lol.
its just that the way i see it is if he thinks he put them in backwards why not take them out and put them in backwards to check? like theres only 4 ways they go in
its like asking if my distributor is backwards and asking what to do about it
eh to each their own man, i was messin around with ya anyway, i was shocked by your responses to him though lol. I understand what you mean and didnt think of it like that. I think what he is saying though is they dont seem like they will work the other way or something. idk lol.
oooohh lol i dint catch that... yea before i hit post this little dude popped up on my shoulder shakin his finger sayin youre gunna regret this and i was all ---- you lil dude what do you know youre a pigment of my imagination
dude how are you so easy going... i swear youre stoned or something lol
um so ur saying u were going to say something nasty back? yea i was joshin ya around but i never said what u were saying wasnt exactly mean to the guy lol. and me easy going? u and i didnt even argue yet on this thread lol. Sometimes im easy going. I can be pretty mean though just not over someone asking a question haha.
nah i wasnt gunna be mean back to you... you caught me in the wrong lol i dont like how most people cant admit when they are wrong lol
yea, when im wrong i dont like to admit it sometimes, so i guess im one of the most anyway haha.
ok lookie here sami did you get it fixed?
try this disconnect both cables from the trans hook them both up to the shifter the cable on the drivers side of the shifter is the nuetral left and right the one on the passenger side is the in and out of gear selector the cable with the adjuster on it goes on the drivers side of the shifter
now then
with the cables disconected from the trans move the thing that they connect onto around there will be and in out that feels spring loaded like it bounces back and forth and probably using a twisting motion you can feel it click in and out of gear if this dont move you might be FFN
then either bungie the sifter in the center (nuetral) either left or right and note which cable moves or have someone wiggle it and note which cable moves thats the cable that connects to the stud on the trans thing that activates the spring loaded motion then the other cable connects to the stud that has the click and stay motion then you are pretty much done assuming the cable is adjusted right
there SHOULD be a trans writeup in the KC about adjusting the cable but im not gunna go into that
i wish you luck and damn i must be related to emryl cuz i just knocked it up another nawtch
Glad to see the there wasn't any real issues, as pertaining to earlier posts.
Thank you for idea. I'll give it a shot.
And btw, its "Kickin' it up a notch" is what Emeril says.
Edit: I looked through the KC. I seen an article about the swap to a A555. But I didn't do the swap and am unsure as too exactly what parts he used for the whole thing.

Update
After several more attempts of BS. With the car refusing to give in and just be fixed...
A Miracle!!! Stupid car finally gave in. Jumping the battery tomorrow and testing it out. See if I need to adjust the cables anymore.
WOO! IMMD
so were you missing parts or what?
1988 Lancer Shelby 2.2TII 1989 Shadow ES 2.5TI 1992 Lebaron Sedan 3.0Auto 1993 Acclaim 2.5TI-A520 Hoard parts now!
I wasn't missing parts. The parts I had gotten (after several months of waiting, and searching for the right ones mind you) two months of Michigan weather to deal with, and several attempts at putting the cables in, and one way not working, another way, etc... For some reason, only making me believe the parts I had were wrong... Magicly worked today... I don't know why.
It was like a child throwing a fit, and only now decided to cooperate... It was like... "Are you kidding me... Just that easy? ... SERIOUSLY!?!? ... *laugh* augh, you d*** car!" lol
For what ever reason... Several months of frusteration ended today. Atleast momentarily. Since I'll be making sure it works tomorrow. Though it felt like all the gears shifted right. Though I had to make an adjustment in the cable for 5th. But w/e.
you mean, you did nothing more since your last post here about this and just suddenly worked today?
