I can put together a package deal of 995 springs and retainers, not sure of cost but a set of springs should be around $130 plus $20 for retainers plus shipping. These are a simple swap, no shimming or keeper changes needed.

FYI thats not 2 bad of a price, only way your gettin them cheaper is if you already have someone commited into going 1/2ers on a set with ya!!! they are $250 CDN a set in town for new springs...was hoping to get them cheaper through my buddies mechanic discount but his price couldnt even beat the speed shops

are the stock chev retainers made of chromoly????

yeah they be chromoly....

if they are the ones im thinking, you can also get titanium ones (I think the lt-4 corvette used them)


I may be mistaken about the chromoly... i vaguely remember having an option between iron, chromoly and titanium....

I think titanium is overkill, they are already lighter than stock ones.

i was looking at the 16918 springs the have slightly more open pressure and slightly less seat pressure, which would be better? and what degree are our locks? i always thought ours were 7

I think both would be fine, matter of choice I guess. Also look at the max lift each one can take, that will be another factor.

Our angle is 8 deg.

they'd be going to be shipped to Mike's (90Dodgevnt) place, dunno where he's at actually lol. he's gonna pack up some things for me. i'll let you know where to ship this (and whether one or two sets )

has there been a price adjustment since the thread started in february???
springs dropped in price to $187 US for 16 now....so i cant justify spending 130 US + shipping on 8 of them
