    PT Lifters/Lash adjusters

I have seen and heard people using these and that they need shims. Where exactly are the shims placed? what else is needed to use them?

I have also heard of people using beehive springs. What type do they use and what advantage do they have?

I have searched the forum but seem to find people talking about details not the basic installation steps

Washer's go under the lifter to put it at stock height as they are shorter.

Conicals are used as the retainer is lighter and the springs do a better job of controlling the valve, easier on the valve and valve train too.
