    1985 Shelby Charger

Good Evening......My 1st post. Speaking of first's....my 1st brand new car was a 1985 Shelby Charger, Red/Silver. I drove this car from May of '85 till January of '90. I'm sorry that I ever sold it......As such i'd like another. I have located an '86 Black/Silver....w/ only 8,000 miles. It was owned by the actor Ken Walls ( '80's tv ) Now it's at a Dodge dealer. I paid $10,124.00 for my '85.....What's this one worth. I've not driven it, but it is 100% original and showroom fresh. Any thoughts??

all depends on the condition and what you are willing to spend. Usually since it is not a numbered S car they can go for around 4 to 6000 grand in perfect immacualte condition. Most of the time though they go for around 1000 to 3000

With only 8,000 miles on it?? Wow, I'd like to see some pictures of that! I think it should bring between $8,000 - $10,000 with that kind of mileage as long as it's been garage kept etc.

I may be in the minority Geffen but I believe a car that is showroom fresh is worth showroom prices. If you wanted a very original Shelby and found a basket case, you would spend WAY MORE than $10K restoring one to showroom condition don'tcha think? I hope you can make a deal and end up with the car, we would to have it AND an original owner around here. This is a great group of enthusiasts, welcome

PS if you spring $10. for a full membership, you can post up some pics of the Charger when you get em. Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing some of your Porsche stuff too I'm hoping its an early-ish 928S4

I do have an early 928....A 1978 928 Euro, Silver/Black, 5speed.....Also a 1969 Dodge Charger, and a 1971 Ferrari 365GTC/4...Daily driver is a restored 1997 Avenger ES...You'll never see another on like it. If you search my name on Facebook, you can see pictures of them all in my album. Just search for Jeff Tanner, Portage High School class of 1982, Portage IN.

I think that i'm gonna start pusuing the Shelby soon.....Although I really would prefer a Red one. If my memory serves, I think that they were also available Silver with a Red stripe.....really rare.

Woah, can't be too many first year 928's left

Nice little flock you've got going, pretty diverse too

Looking forward to seeing this Charger! Another could always come along in the exact color you want. Like girlfriends, always easier to find one when you already have one

    Welcome!

All I see is the 365 in you profile pic. Change the security settings for the car pix to let "non friends" view them. I love car pix.

The Silver SCs had a blue stripe.
    Combos were:
    Black/Silver
    Red/Silver
    Blue/Silver
    Silver/Blue
