    I now have a big car bracket that I can use in mine if I decide to go back to that setup.

    Wow, good work. I haven't checked in on this thread in a while. I'm happy to see that the carrier did it's job. To bad everything thing else around it turned to $hit. Thanks to your testing there is no doubt about the durability of the carrier.
