Is the only difference between these and the one I got the powder coating?
I have two of these left. They can also be powder coated for an added cost.
The last two I have are know being powder coated so the price will be $110 +shipping. Here are some pictures of the last one i sold that was powder coated.
Just curios,
How much additional power does the 58mm give you over on stock? I have a '89 T1 stock setup. How much does mileage suffer ?
Thanks
Hi, do you use one of these on your motor, how much to send to plymouth ma 02360, please let me know, i'm interested! thanks Doug.
If you have stock setup you probably wont want this throttle body. Now if your planing on upgading things down the road then you may want one.
I have a 70mm TB on my car now, but on my old setup I used a ported 58mm TB and it woked great. It would be $120 shipped.
$120.00 sounds good! will you take a postal moneyorder! if so give me your address and i will send it out by friday, thanks Doug.
Isn't this like Orbitz and if you paid more than someone else, you get the difference back? In all seriousness I paid $135 and I considered it a bargain at that price. It's a quality piece.
+1! It really is better than new. Works nicely with a stock TIII intake manifold I might add.
you really need to have a large plenum intake on an 8v or a 16v motor to use the 58. That being said I love my 58 and Lengel does top quality work. It can be a real pain to take one of these TB's apart. I admire that he can do it and rebuild it.
Thanks for the compliment. I learned the hard way, the first 58mm I tried to take apart is now junk, broke the screws off in the shaft and messed up the bore where the shaft goes through trying to get the bearing out. Now I can take one apart in like 10 min. I had to make a special puller to get the bearings out, without messing up the throttle body casting.
Lengel,
Do you still have a 58mm T.B. left, if so how much to have one shipped to 44233
One that has been powder coated (silver).
Thanks
Chuck
I have one more left.
Lengel, If you need any more cores for rebuilding let me know as I've probably got 4-5 stock 58mm sitting on the shelf.
