I have all the megasquirt for this car, but I have to admit I and scared to death of it, so unless someone is willing to help me out with the install and gettting it up and running, I probably will just put a complete van harness in it.....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the megasquirt is really not that bad once you start messing with it. i was a little scared at first when i did mine. don't get me wrong, i had plenty of help from dj(even though he is 2500 miles away). just make sure you do plenty of reading and map everything out before you start. not sure how much research you have done so far, but if you go on www.msextra.com any information you could need is in the documentation section and there is a very good message board on the site too. what kind of ignition are you looking to run? who did you buy it from(from what i've seen the diy and rs-autosport pinning are different on the db37)?

How is that motor mount attached to the front of the block (front being from FWD, below the distributor)?

Also, is that your dakota too?

    Re: 79 RWD 2.5 Colt

Everything was mocked up using a dakota block, just had to drill the cargo vans motor and tap them to get it to work. Yes 99 dakota r/t 5.9, how does it look with bogarts on it, 325-50-15 nitto 555's on it

There is a person in Hoosier SDAC that's going have a bit of a crisis when he looks at this thread.

    Any way looks great.

    Re: 79 RWD 2.5 Colt

Those tires on the dakota are serious business. I bet that thing is a lot easier to hook up than this Colt ever will be.

Thanks for the info on the block mods, ive never actually looked closely at a dakota block but im thinking about putting one of my car blocks into a dakota i have.

    Looking good!

Oh Christ that is nice!! :-O Love the polished intake and valve cover. How exactly did you set up the drivetrain? Adapter plate for bellhousing, adapter plate for flexplate, and then are you using all OEM style 904 parts for the flexplate and torque converter?

Yes, crank and bell housing adapter, uses an 8 bolt flex plate(426 hemi/440 sixpack) and I have a hughes 8 inch converter in it, the converter stall at 5000 behind a 410 smallblock, just a starting point, but I hope it stalls around 3600 or so. 904 has a turbo action brake in it.

50 trim turbonetics to start and get it all running and road worthy, I have a t67 garret I am going to try on it later, probably have to get it going with a little bottle im thinking? I have and 8 inch coverter in it that stalled 5000 rpm behind a 410ci small block, so i have no idea what it will in here, im hoping around 3500-3700 or so, if it does i should be able to grab the tranny break and build full boost,26psi or so, and lauch on it.
