    Which steering wheel?

I put a Grant GT steering wheel in my 85 Turismo.

I like how it looks, but recently came into possession of a four spoke Shelby steering wheel. I have the adapter for it and I know it needs a spacer to work with an L-body dash. The wheel is in decent condition.

    Which wheel would look best?

I like the Shelby one too, but the Grant definitely isn't bad at all

The four spoke Shelby wheel I have is the one that came on the 87 & 88 CSX and 87 SL.

If I could put the Shelby horn button assembly in the Grant wheel I'd do that but it doesn't fit.

The Grant wheel is the closest one I could find to an 89 CSX wheel which is what I like the most.

It really just depends on whether you like a 3 or 4 spoke wheel as they are very similar... and the wheel could be modded to fit the horn button

Grant wheel...it looks good, it's new and it's comfy. You can sell the shelby wheel.

That's the same wheel that I have in the Whore. I love it!

Matter of fact I like it better than the Shelby wheel in the CSX because it's a slightly smaller dia.

Go for the Grant and put the Shelby on the shelf for another day....

I did. All you have to do is remove the GT decal and find a Shelby Lancer wheel medallion and you're good to go!

    Re: Which steering wheel?

I ran a grant for a while. I took it out and went back to a stock shelby. I recall issues reading the gauges and my knuckles being to close to the dash. Also the crush able safety part of the grant wheel felt kind of cheap and made the wheel not feel so solid.

It's the same as a Shelby Charger, except leather wrapped. The base L-body's don't have the brushed metal spokes.

I've got two 2 in adapters on there to pull it out from the dash. There is a 1 inch one that you can mount to the 2 in adapter that comes with the wheel but I didn't know about the 1 inch one at first and ordered a 2nd 2 in one. It sits out away from the dash nicely, but I agree they do feel cheap.
