    Front end noise

I have a 2003 Dodge Neon with a front end noise that gets louder as speed increases. Car has newer front struts, new control arms, newer tires, and has a alignment. Car has 142,000 miles on it.
Sounds like a scraping sound and gets louder as speed increases. Brakes are also new in front and back. If I step on brake or accelerate noise gets quieter. So on Saturday my son replaced the pressed in bearing on front passenger side. Noise is still there. Besides replacing the front drivers bearing can anybody suggest a answer?

    Thanks

    Axle? or trans?

Does it make different noises while turning left or right? thats usually a symptom of wheel bearings.

brake pads new...or rotors too? Try putting jack stands under the front of the car and secure it well...with someone in car, crank, put in gear and let the tires turn at idle speed and see if you can narrow it down.

    Re: Front end noise

Brake pads & rotors are new. Already put car on stands and ran it. No noise. Only make noises when weight is on wheels. Noise lets up a little when braking or light acceleration.

sounds like a caliper hanging up to me? Did you do the brakes? If so did you press the piston back into the caliper?

if you sway the car left to right gently while driving does the noise change? if not are the pads installed correctly?
