    Racing Wheels Question

I'm looking at some light weight 15x7 and 15x7.5 rims, the 7's have 3.375" of back spacing while the 7.5 has 5" back spacing, any idea which will fit the front better? I'm ok with a 7" width but the back spacing I'm afraid will put it out past the fender on the Aries. The 7.5 would have the opposite effect and I'm afraid the tires will hit the struts. I guess my question is those that have Bogarts or other A/M wheels, what size and BS do you use and do they stick out? I won't mind rolling the fender lip if necessary.

They're actually Centerlines. Those specs above are the two that I could use, I'm sure the 8.5's are too wide.

No I haven't called, but I wasn't aware they'd do that. If either will work without spacers I'd rather go that route.

I run 7 inch wide on my Reliant wagon, great fit! I run 225x60-15 tires.
Guess 16's would be a better choice with the availability tires for that size.

I know the 7" will fit depending on the back spacing. Thats the big question.

The 7.5" wheels would stick out an additional 10 mm vs the common biggest wheel setup that fits our cars. That is an 8" wheel with a +35 ofset. The 7" wheels would stick out over an inch compared to those. I think the 7.5's would work for you as long as you don't run a tall tire. The 5" backspacing converts to about a +19 offset.

    Re: Racing Wheels Question

I run 15x8 Bogarts on the front of my Z and Tommy has them on the front of his '86 SC and they fit well on both. I can dig up the backspacing but from memory 4.5" sounds right for some reason?

Bogarts are drag race only, they are too light to handle the cornering loads of street driving.

So the 7.5" sounds like the better choice. I know the Bogart, Holeshot, and Monocoque are race only. I want these:

Actually it is not enough. If it had another 1/4-3/8" it would be perfect for a street tire. Take into reference an 8" wheel with a +35 offset which a lot of us run on the street has a bit more than 5-3/4". Your Bogarts look like they have atleast 5" but they are also a drag wheel so it doesn't really matter a whole lot if they stick out. My 15x8 drag wheels are like a 4-3/4" (+6 offset)backspacing and they appear to stick out more then yours do.

If thats true, I can go this way:

Wheel, Convo Pro, Polished, Natural, 15 in. x 8 in., 5 x 4 in. Bolt Circle, 4.5 in. Backspace, Each

Intersting... I'll have to look up my notes on it, but pretty confident that are under 5"

Those are cool. Just trying to stay away from the "tuner" look. The C/L are street legal and to my knowledge nobody is riding around on the streets with them.
