    Way Loud Backfire?

I'm running a custom SMEC cal and recently whenever i'm in gear and decelerating my exhaust will start to gargle and crackle like normal but then all of a sudden it will start popping and backfiring?? It sounds like a HONDA running anti-lag!! Any Ideas of why this is happening and how do i fix it?

It's likely too lean on decel. In the LM there was a modifier about how much fuel to remove on a decel but I forget what it is. You could try and add some fuel to the low vaccum part of your fuel maps. Are you sure the rest of the cal isn't also too lean?

either richen it way up or shut all the fuel off. You have just enough fuel on decel to get it to burn in the exhaust and pop.

Ok, i'll try making it richer on the fuel maps. It makes sense cause it only started happening once the weather turned cold so cold air needs more fuel so my whole cal is lean now probably. Is their a fuel table that changes the fuel depending on the charge air temps

I will update for him, he is 18 and to lazy to come to my house & use my burner lol. He is my little brother.
I would bet he is one of the youngest guys making his own cals i would say he picked up about 1/2 second and 6 mph at the track over the stock cal. BTW he is running 16 psi.

If it ever gets above 20 degrees here we might get together to try & fix the backfire
