    A few tuning questions??

I have a set up to do cals in the car from the laptop like many of you, but i have read that it takes a while for a SMEC to adjust or learn, so how is the best way to datalog & tune? I mean i can make a few pulls within 3 mins of burning the new cal & if i see that some adjustments need to be made should i wait tell it learns or just change it right away? or does it depend on how far off it is?

Ideally, you would turn off the adaptives while tuning. When you get it where you want, then turn them back on. There's a MAP constant (minimum MAP for adaptives for both fuel and boost control). Set them to 0xff and the adaptives are 'off'...

    Re: A few tuning questions??

No, just the MAP threshold will do it. I'd leave the others alone.

    'MAPLIM_NoCellUpdateAboveThisMAP' for fuel,
'ARMPIC_AdaptiveRetard_MinMAPForAdjustment' for the adaptive retard, and
'MPROOF_StopAdaptiveWGWhenMapIsThisCloseToBoostTar get' for the wastegate adaptives

Basically, set them all to 0xff to disable (remember the stock settings, though, so you can change it back when you're done getting your base tune).
