    Didn't work how?

I checked the injector scaling (manually) for a couple of cals. And, within rounding error, the cals are scaling correctly. Those 2 errors above are corrected automatically by MP Tune when you save. Though, if you scale before saving, it might cause an error in injector scaling. I didn't check that.

    Re: MPTuner

    1) are you using an ftdi cable? if so make sure the VCP option is checked in the driver setup. mptune uses the generic windows com port routines vs the specific ftdi protocols.
    2) post a pic of the screen shots if #1 doesn't work. might be able to see something there.

i use mptune on xp, vista, win 7 and win 8. if it doesn't show a valid port then it will not work. double check to see what com ports are set up also in the hardware device screen to make sure windows is properly recognizing them.

It wouldn't run, relays clicking like crazy, like the code was off or something. I would try again but my Burn2 has come apart so I currently have no chip burner Once I get that fixed/replaced I'll try some more.

figured this out finally. the next version of mpscan i'm releasing this week was modified to get around the user account control stuff. unfortunately, to make windows vista and above happy you have to use their "proper" directories for user data. so i had to change quite a few location lookups and move some default directories around as well as modify how the auto updater works. you will still get prompted if the auto updater needs to install a newer version.

i'll change mptune in the future also. i'm in the middle of redoing the bootloader stuff with rob so need to get that working first before i tackle this change.

    finally..............

    **********edit************
vista and above user account control stuff is still active as it should be btw. i'm not fooling with that at all, just file locations.

You need what could be called the "definitions" file called the table file so the program knows what it's looking at...

If you don't have this, modifying the existing Cal will not be possible. If you have one of Rob's cals,he can provide tha file.

    Re: MPTuner

you can only open a binary (".bin") file in mpt2 only if it has an associated .mpt table file. an .mpt file is only created when either one of rob's template cals is compiled OR if an old style .tbl file from the dcal days is converted to mpt2 format. so the place to start for you is to determine what cal you read, e.g. was it a stock ecu cal or one of rob's turbonator cals. if it was a stock cal there will be some work to do to get it in a format so mpt2 can open it. you will need to find a corresponding .tbl file that has the same table locations defined and then convert it using mpt2. even then, alot of the old dcal .tbl files were incomplete or had errors in them.

    ****edit****
oops you posted while i was typing!! rob can send you the definitions file, or even better, the template file (.tpl).

TJ - just save the cal and the errors should go away.

    Re: MPTune

I know i'm new at MPtune so I'm trying to not get fustrated... Although I can imagine you guys may get bothered but believe me your work is VERY much appreciated !! Got another problem , although it worked before and I verified with my snap-on scanner that the sbec is seeing when I set CC on or push set or push resume but the turbonator feature for stage limiter isn't working now... So that has me wondering if the hi/low boost selection is correct too. So in that case i set low boost to 12 and hi boost to 14 psi. But would like to start playing with the stage limiter

thanks for the reply but, I made sure that was set up correctly. I even unchecked it and rechecked it but that didn't help .. wierd cause it worked before but now its like turbonator is shut off...
