    Re: MPTune

your are still able to drag the lines with your mouse or move them with the cursor keys. as well as having numerous comparison cals showing. not sure i understand what you "miss". i do agree that there is alot of wasted space on this layout and think changing the "display scale" to maxing out at 32k vs 64k makes alot of sense. in fact i think the earlier version of mptune use to only go to 49k. i'll look at changing that so the "resolution" is higher. maybe even have it be a setting you can change.

the lines were thin, the points were boxes that you could move to match the boxes of the comparison cals very easily. Also I like that the pointer read what the line read even if the pointer wasn't directly on the line.

Did it read the coordinates that you were pointing at next to the mouse pointer guy? I think it reads the coordinates the mouse is pointing at now off to the right?

    Re: MPTuner

the way it works on mpt2 is that the info box that follows the mouse pointer around shows the x and y values based on the mouse position. the values in the upper right hand corner show the values of the cal line similar i believe to what dcal did. the line width can be adjusted by going into settings and changing the line width to 1 for the thinnest line or a larger number for a thicker line.

You can change the line weights, colors, box sizes etc. in the settings...

    Re: MPTune

I'm trying to modify a MP 2.2 t2 cal for my TC(5spd cal-auto car). I started with the 344MP cal and the stock Masi cal. Updated both to ver2 and was able to compare cals and adjust a few tables. Not sure what to do from there. I did this twice and was not able to save into any format that would load in MPTune after closing everything. I'm confused at the moment, what am I missing?

Are you opening stock cals? Or Turbonator cals?

    Re: MPTuner

stock cals that only have the bin/tbl setup don't work very well at all. even after updating to version 2 for mptune there are way too many problems in the old .tbl files for them to really work very well. rob's turbonator cals are the future!

    Re: MPTuner

Did you do an update or something? Tried to make a new cal for the Lebaron last week and it wouldn't work. Whenever I load a cal it says there were errors processing the file. Here's what it says:

Warning->Injector scaling was changed to word. Please review line:
    ;mpinjscale scale
    for table AisEnrichmentFuelPulse

Warning->Injector scaling was changed to word. Please review line:
    ;mpinjscale scale
    for table NoCellUpdateBelow PWMIN Pulsewidth

Warning->Injector scaling was changed to word. Please review line:
    ;mpinjscale scale
    for table FuelMonitorConversionFactor
That's my custom cal. Loading one of the stock cals that I've never touched gives the same errors.

**Edit** Nevermind, I just uninstalled and reinstalled it and now it loads without errors again. Okay, now my Burn2 has given up (socket has come loose from the board) so I still can't burn a chip

    Re: MPTuner

in the latest version i added some extra checking on bad table data that i noticed when trying to scale injectors. the 3 tables above were problems so i forced MPT to try to correct them. i believe if you save the cal and the reopen the errors should go away. however, rob L needs to confirm that after the "fix" that the data is truly what it should be. i assume rob will correct his cals for this in the future.

I was just about to sit down and check the injector scaling. Can you elaborate on what was wrong? I've had a few cals recently not seem to be right after scaling for injectors. I haven't actually checked the scaled data myself yet...

    Re: MPTuner

rob - in the three tables listed above you need to change the lines:

    ;mpinjscale scale

    TO

    ;mpinjscale word

or whatever is the appropriate scaling for those tables. since they are all 2 byte tables i force the to "word"

    Re: MPTune

I was working with MP Tune last night and it was loading my cal with errors also.
It sounds like the same ones you identified Morris.
    The change affected 3 tables.

If you just re-save the cal, MP Tune fixes those errors.

    Re: MPTune

    Cool.
I was actually looking at a stock cal when I got those error messages.
But I did save it when I was done.
    Thanks for the tip.
