Angry I just flushed $300 down the toilet.

Iv'e been waiting well over a month to get my head back, which wasn't really a big deal, but I looked at it today when I got home, and thought "what kinda botched piece of crap is this?" Where's my interlocking seats? It's a 445 head that was getting big valves that I was gonna use on my oval port intake, guess not this year. Cyl #2 has a proper ex valve seat, with a 33.3mm i/d. The other 3 have a regular seat with a 31.7mm i/d opening, maybe slightly larger than stock, but not for a 36.8mm valve. The intake seats are all 36.3mm i/d, supposed to fit a 44mm valve. My original seats were actually wider than these, as I opened them up a bit with a die grinder.

Cyl #1 with "new big valve seats"

Cyl #2 with a proper ex seat but small intake.

    Cyl #3

    Cyl #4

The guides were replaced, but they are shorter than the roofs, might be hard to see on the pic.

I'm kinda dissapointed that I can't bolt this thing on and go, it's kinda useless to me with the way the seats are, and the machine shop is closed for holidays for the next couple weeks. Even if he fixes it, racing for me will probably be done, because my S.C. runs out of insurance on Sept.10.

Well, partially I don't know what I'm looking at, partially the pics are fuzzy. Can you maybe add in little arrows pointing out what's wrong with it?

You must be referring to the last pic? That was from putting the seat in.

Re: I just flushed $300 down the toilet.

the exhaust seats should be around 32-33mm ID and the intake should be around 40mm ID. Then you have to open them yourself to the right ID. You should have had them cut to big valve size before they gave them back, this is one way THEY would have known they screwed up. Actually looks better than a 445 I'm working on for some one...

I know he will take care of it when he gets back. He was in a rush to go camping, again, not making excuses and yeah, puts you behind 2 weeks.
