    3" exhaust alternative hanger

One of the problems I run into with the 3" exhaust on the Omni is right after the "S" bend were the "S" pipe and the pipe that goes over the rear axle join together. The factory hanger is right where the joint is. So I can't weld the additional hanger that comes with the exhaust if I use the stainless steel band clamps that Chris offers. I don't use the u-bolt style clamps because if I have to make an adjustment after I tighten the clamp down I can't. This isn't a criticism of the kit Chris sells. The joint is the same place Chrysler puts it. So on the latest one I had to install for a customer I discovered a solution. I rotated the S.S. band clamp so the bolt lines up with the hanger. I use a nut and a washer to keep the hanger on the bolt. I also punched a couple of threads on the nut so it won't vibrate off.
