    89 Turbo van blower motor

Do you need to pull the heater box out of a 89 Van to change the blower motor? I hope not....It's getting down to the 20's here and they are talking about snow. Also how generic are the blower motors? I have a few laying around that came out of omni's and one out of a daytona, and I'm wondering if those are going to work.

I just removed mine ('88 van) because it was making noise. You do not have to remove the entire box to get it out. One or two screws are hard to get to.
