loss of power at higher rpm

So i've tried doing some searching but between my three jobs it hasn't come to much avail. so i'm appealing to the turbo mopar gods (whomever has an answer).

The problem first started at WOT. Get on the gas, and it would hit a wall, like it lost all power...in reality it just felt like it. everything was running, but it just hit a wall. Let off the gas, accellerate like normal, and it works great. Well the problem has progressed to if i do anything but grandma driving really. The worst of it comes around 62mph. Since i don't have a tach, i don't know the rpm. But if i try to do any speed over that, it will continually hit a wall untill i let off. Also at this point, if i even remotely think of going WOT it will hit a wall, rhythmically. So i'll floor it (and leave it floored) it will wind up, bog, wind bog, wind, bog...etc. When the issue came up going 62mph yesterday, i tried downshifting (manually, in an auto car) and it didn't matter, same rpm = power loss. which in a lower gear meant lower speed (less than 62). Then i tested it in neutral, couldn't rev it up. same rpm, same issue.

I've heard everything from O2 sensor, fuel pump, plugs and wires, rusty gas tank (not out of the realm considering how long this car sat).
so... here i am appealing to you...help??!!

This is where you actually need to diagnose stuff, guessing doesn't cut it.

Check for codes is the first step, diagnose as needed.

    Check cam and ignition timing.

Compression test and check state of tune-up items including fuel filter, if in doubt, replace as needed.

Check fuel pressure-this is my guess, your fuel pump has shitt the bed.
