Awesome, Another Problem, Sway Bar Bushings

I ran a search, I remember a thread about having this exact problem. Here's the thread for reference.

    http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...ushings&page=1

I'm having this exact issue with a set of PB sway bar bushings. They don't fit, they're too big and are being squished when the brackets are tightened down. Was there ever a solution for this? Is there a problem with a run of PB sway bushings and is there a replacement. If not, what the hell am I supposed to do? I had planned to have this car done tomorrow.

    Please help me.

I had the same problem too. Just figured that the PB parts were incorrect and didn't want to deal with trying to make them work or returning them. PB makes some good stuff, so not sure why so many don't work right. After I saw all the posts about this, I ordered up some Prothane bushings with brackets from Summit Racing. Hate buying parts twice, but what you gonna do?

Yes, those should be the correct style ones- At least that's what was in my old Daytona CS.

Talked to Johnny and he sent me a pair of brackets and bushings that will work. Hopefully this is the last hurdle to get over. I'm just praying the brakes don't leak.

No those aren't the correct ones for an 89/90 kmember. The ones in the pic are for the 86-88 big bar cars since they had aftermarket style D-shaped bushings and brackets from the factory.

Polygon, make sure you get pics of what you end up getting in the mail.

Yeah, those aren't same ones I ended up getting. The ones Johnny sent me fit the bar fine and fit perfect in the K-member. Here are the pics:

I like your heim joint setup you've done, I just don't have time to do that yet. I think I'll do that when I pull the engine. This will do for now.

I still haven't gotten around to installing the parts he sent me in June. Probably won't get to it until spring at the earliest.

Hopefully they work for you. I saw the other thread after I bought mine and I was really worried I was going to have the same problem. Over a year later BAM, I got screwed.
