    Cool Turbine wheel/shaft weights.

Building a turbo so I figured I'd whip out the scale and do some measuring. Pics to come later.

    Stock stage I wheel-9.1 oz's

Turbonetics small shaft Stage II-10.1 oz's.

Turbonetics large shaft Stage III-10.7 oz's.

Garrett maybe? small shaft Stage III-9.7 oz's!!

^^ I'll be using that one if I redo a Stage III 50 trim. You can feel the difference, of course,

my 2.2 can spool a bigger then stage 3 exhaust wheel, b4 the cam even knows what to do with it (unless i advance it like 4-5 degrees but that kills some power up top )

    Ok, that makes more sense,

A bit, enough for me to say a stage II is enough for the street, unless you went Stage III with a .48 housing, which kinda silly.

I have all 3 at work, I'll weigh them.

Who and what did he prove?

I disagree, I would never recommend a stage III wheel for a DD, the lag sucks. Maybe an auto is worse but on the 8 valve, I had to advance the cam to make it livable, TIII, its just fine. I was told that the power difference from a 2 to a 3 is neglible.

Maybe the new F wheels are better for you to say that.

    Hello again,

Sorry for the delay we have been very busy this week. The weight
difference is just over an ounce. The spool difference is normally
2-300RPM's between the stage 2 and 3. Let us know if you need anything
    else. Thank you,

Glad you finally got around to it I take it you have changed your mind about Stage III wheels then.

No, I still say a stage III wheel is overkill on the street unless your looking for lag to help with traction. I have a ported head and will be running some tri-flow cams next year so we will see how that helps my lag.

Maybe the lighter stage III would help with lag?

Maybe, sounds logical. Less mass to get spinning.
