It should have a roller cam if original '88... I'm guesing its an earlier head swapped on. Got any pics of the front and drivers side markings?

i can get some tomorrow
Probably a 287, has the upper AC bracket bolt bosses. I think the 445 doesn't have those? It's not a 655 either, casting #s are in the wrong spot for those.
i thought it wouldnt run right with a 287 due to cal? it has a TI smec in it
It'll run okay on a swirl cal, just not great.
ill get some pics tomorrow
Thats BS... The MP heads were all G heads.

ok,i see
Now I'm confused lol Are you saying it (a G-headed engine) will run great on a swirl cal?
Back in the day before the home-brew cals the swirl and g heads were pretty much interchangeable. There was no such thing as a 'swirl cal' or a 'g-head' cal. Example.. A Super 60 cal will work well with a swirl head, right? The Super 60 package said to use the Super 60 head (previously known as the IMSA head) which is a G head, and somehow it still works well...
Sorry for my crude old school perspective, just saying that its not as big of a deal as people seem to make it sometimes.
