    Glhs #0896

I haven't been keeping a "LOG" of my progress on the car. But I figured I'd start now.
The car was in great shape when I got it. Here's a pic:

However, after driving for a while, the trans blew(a525). So, instead of just replacing the trans, I figured it was time for some upgrades.
I'm in the middle of installing the a523 replacement trans, Porting the head, Intake, and exhaust mannys, Installing the cut out elim from TU, Front mount Intercooler, 550cc Injectors, Just ALL KINDS of stuff to make it an 11 second street tire car.
Here's what she looks like today(pic taken 11-22-09 at 3:30PM est):

Yep, that's the short block under the R/F fender. Awaiting the rest of it. Once I get everything together.
I guess I'll start keeping you all posted on the progress.
If anyone has any pointers, feel free to drop em on me(lol).
    Later,
    Donnie

PS: Ignore the date on the pic. I never set up the right date in the camera(DUH)(lol).

nice work. never mind the nay sayers I know what it feels like having to work on the ground. My motor sat in the back yard under an old hood with some tarps around it while I was collecting parts. rain sucks! Why is the body all taken apart?

Yeh, dont mind these crazy folks with their idealism! Practicality is what keeps a car going! If i waited until i had everything i needed to do a project right, id never do any projects

11 seconds on street tires is a lofty goal, good luck with the car and keep posting updates.

Dont push the red button. You hear me?

    Re: Glhs #0896

Well first off, the car is covered when I'm away from it. I can't "build" a roof for it. If I could do that, I wouldn't have to wait for money to get the right parts(lol). I'd have enough.
Second, THANKS to all the people who understand how I have to do this build. It's a slow and tedious process but, effective. And that's all that matters at the end of the build.
Third, I NEED AXLES!!! I have an a523 going in and I need axles from an 88-90 Omni america auto trans. Anybody got em?
Obviously, I need them at a deal too. Money is tighter than it's ever been.
Thanks for looking. I'll keep it updated,
    Donnie
