I went 10.8@130 back in ~2006. Gotta be way faster than that now! I'd like an 8 second TD.

I think I have your old turn a knob ecu in my shop. It was outdated back then!

So many pages of comments. I recently came across an AWD 95 Chrysler Town and country van that I can pick up for $1000. Will that setup work for converting my charger while retaining the 2.2 engine, and what would it take to make it work? If not, what might I need to do to swap everything from the van into my omni but make it a manual?

Nothing as in just bolt it in or nothing as in you don't think it's possible?

The AWD minivan is an automatic minivan. There is nothing you can use on it to make your Omni manual.

So there aren't even any transmissions I could just swap the vans with?

Have you read all of Carlos posts??

I haven't in a while, but he used AWD Caravan parts to build his Omni.

He mated the AWD transfer unit to an A 568 manual trans. with some creativity.

I think he used the AWD rear diff and drive shaft also with some creativity.

Not sure what year donor he used so your 1995 may or may not be ideal.

    Thanks
    Randy

I'm sure the setup he used was from a 04 mini van. He said you could use the Pacific setup .he didt use it because it would cost more.

Not sure where to read them at. I've looked through the photobucket account but that's it.

The rearend is off of an '01 and later Caravan. The PTU is off a '91 Caravan. I had to use the early PTU as it's got a gear like the Omni allowing me to run the stock speedo cable. For a non-cable driven speedo you could use everything off the '01 van. The driveshaft was shortened by a local 4X4 shop to fit the L-body.-

Does anyone know how to get in touch with the person who did this? He hasn't been on here since 2010.

Pictures of the engine and trans stuff would be nice so we can see how it all works together.
