    valve cover corrosion...

Ok so i took the paint the previous owner had painted the cover off, then sanded completely smooth and primed and ainted with high heat good stuff and baked it as per instructions. So yea this was over the summer about 4 months ago, the van has been shacked up for a couple months at a place i keep my unregistered cars and i started her up when i was there popped the hood to look at stuff and noticed the paint is peelin right off!!!! and sure as heck the nasty oxidation is there. Anyone know a good chemical or soemthing protective for alum to not do this prior to painting? it looked so nice too, for what it was. Now looks like doo doo
