    new job, need struts

I finally have a steady stream of income, but the wife would kill me if I spent the $$ that Koni's cost on my '****box dodge', so... what to get?

I have an '85 Shelby Charger, and bad struts up front, worse shox in rear.

I have coilovers on all 4, 10" 220lb/in rear springs, 5.5 heavy as **** springs up front (getting new ones soon, thinking 250-275lb/in). I do work at at local autostore, and get 20% off, BUT the only thing I can get are gabriel's... Oh, I have Gen1 NEON front struts up front too... so take that into consideration.

    so:
    what to use?
where in the hell do I get it? (I've been searching and can't seem to find anything, I thought there'd be a LOT more out there for a Neon)
and how heavy of a spring will it work with?

Believe it or not, the Gabriels work quite well, I had them on my van before I switched to Shadow stuff.

how well? how heavy of a spring will they control? I know they're decent struts, but I'm not sure how well they'll take ~250lb springs, and wether they'll bounce a lot or not...

Oh, and anyone got a place where coilover springs are easily had w/o having to pay restock fees, and excess shipping?

Well they did a nice job on my van when it was lowered using the stock spring. I believe there a better unit that the KYB's-GR's and GAJ.

    Re: new job, need struts

maybe I'll go ahead and give them a try - $61 a pop compared to $36 for the same brand for the charger struts, but at least the car actually sits the way *I* think it should, and doesn't bottom out the strut on hard corners...

now to find me some new coils that aren't so damn stiff, and then figure out how to lower the sleeve on the strut so it doesn't hit the hat when it gets low... then some bumpstops... oh man, here goes my first check.
