'92 Daytona IROC R/T For Sale

1992 Daytona IROC R/T. Very nice car with a clean CARFAX... no accidents, title issues, odometer issues, salvage/flood issues, etc. Originally a Texas car from 4/92 through 9/02. Arizona and Colorado car from 9/02 -10/04. Michigan and Ohio car 10/04 - present. Completely bone stock - no mods or customization, aside from vinyl wrapped overhead console (original mohair fabric was shot).

Equipment: Premium Light Package, Overhead Console, Rear Defroster, Power Heated Mirrors, Remote Decklid Release, Power Windows/Locks/Cruise/Tilt, Vinyl Side Molding, Glove Box/Underhood/Cargo Lights, Infinity II, 6 Speaker System, CD Player.

Recently: Fresh Paint, new shifter bushings, new steel valley cover, new headliner, new tires, fresh oil/filters/coolant, new mdf cargo floor.

When I bought the car, it was a good runner, but dirty. Cleaned up really nice. The headliner was shot and the O/H console was broken, so I removed them and repaired. That got me going, one thing lead to another, and I ended up repainting the entire car. Turned out nice. It won't win any concourse awards, but it beats the alternative: the 17 year-old Chrysler chalk that was on it. No body work whatsoever - save for a couple small spots where surface rust pitted the metal and I smoothed out with filler during the paint prep.

Car runs strong and pulls well through all gears. NO RUST! Bottom of car is nice and unmolested. As mentioned above, there were a few spots on the front of the hood and roof that had started to show surface rust from stone chips, but I took those down, treated them and filled before repainting. I actually coated the entire front lip of the hood (about 8" up or so) and the leading edge of the roof with Rust Bullet, before priming and painting. This way, future stone chips shouldn't start to rust there. Based on my past with these cars (this is my seventh Daytona), I doubt this is the original clutch - can't say how old it is, but it's tight and doesn't slip at all. Brakes work well too. Steering, suspension, hinges, latches, etc - all pretty tight. The only two 'issues' are: O/H console temp readout is inaccurate (sensor is 17 years old), though the compass works fine; and the ABS light is on. It could be argued that a third issue is Chrysler build quality and design, circa 1984. But that's an argument for non-TM'ers, and if directed toward me will be met with the deafest of ears . Beyond that... if I end up keeping the car, I'll put a 3" exhaust on it, but that's about it.

Price is $5,700. Glad to answer any questions you might have. I'm willing to take photos for folks specifically interested in buying the car. The weather is getting cloudy and crummy here in Columbus, so it can be tough this time of year to get good photos in a timely manner. Please email or call me with specific questions. General questions... I'll gladly answer in the thread.

The first eight pictures were taken the 11/21/09. The final four pictures were after the buff-out, so the medallions and decals weren't on the car yet.
