89 T1: which heads to use, which heads to avoid?

A local guy approached me today about a head for his wifes 89 2.5L T1 daytona. It locked up the cam, so he needs a new head. I have a few engines/heads/etc laying around but they are all for the most part 88 and older, so what can he use and what should he avoid? What will be the most direct swap?

This is a stock daily driver, so take that into consideration.

    thanks,

any 782 head would be a direct swap. only difference would be the cam and cam gear

And exhaust valves between turbo and non turbo. But if he's not hopping it up so to speak I wouldn't worry about it.

so ideally he would need 89+ cam to keep the cam timing correct

I believe thats how it works. Its the cam not the cam gear thats the difference when people put rollers in say an early setup. I ahve a good cam that just came out yesterday if you need one.
